Position Summary: The Spray Technician is responsible for the safe, accurate, and effective application of fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, and other plant protectants across a newly constructed 36-hole golf facility. This position plays a critical role in establishing and maintaining turf health and presentation standards from the ground up. The Spray Technician works closely with the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents and is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong interest in turfgrass management. Luling has recently finished construction of a state-of-the-art chemical facility to house and operate its 8 new Chem-Turf sprayers equipped with GPS. Founded in 1922, Manasquan River Golf Club is a private member-owned golf club located on the Jersey Shore in the Borough of Brielle. The waterfront property includes the highest point on the Atlantic Seaboard from Atlantic Highlands to Florida. Golf course architect Robert White built nine holes in the pastures and swampy meadowlands along the river then opened the second nine holes in the elevated woodlands and laurel-laden ravines overlooking the river. Manasquan River Golf Club remains a course with a flavor unlike any other at the Jersey Shore, presenting two distinct faces represented by the over 100 feet of elevation change on the property. In 2018 the, under the direction of Architect Andrew Green,  the golf course underwent a major restoration and modernization including the construction of 6 USGA Spec greens, renovation of all bunkers, and the installation of a Rainbird IC irrigation system.  We are now planning our next phase of golf course renovations that will commence in 2028 along with a major Clubhouse renovation.   Interns will have the opportunity to work side by side with the Superintendent and Assistants to learn the ins and outs of high level golf course conditioning and golf course management; setting a foundation for future success.

In 2019, Seminole Legacy underwent complete renovation by Nicklaus Design, including the re-grassing of all playing surfaces. Improvements featured new Tif-Eagle greens, TifTuf fairways and roughs, and 65 acres of Pensacola Bahia maintained as native areas year-round. During the summer of 2025, the club completed additional course enhancements, including the relocation and addition of tee boxes, new and repositioned fairway bunkers, reshaping of green tie-ins, and construction of two new greens for the men’s and women’s short-course facility. Looking ahead to 2026, Seminole Legacy is currently in the design phase for a $7 million maintenance facility. SUMMARY Mountain Lake is a historic gated community in Lake Wales, approximately 55 miles from Orlando, Florida. Founded in 1916, Mountain Lake was developed with the help of Frederick Olmstead III, and noted golf course architect Seth Raynor. The golf course is often ranked in the top 100 courses in the country. Mountain Lake built the "Colony House" in 1916, which is a seasonal hotel with approximately 32 rooms, and is open for three meals a day from October 1 to May 1. The course has Tif-Eagle bermudagrass greens, Trinity zoysiagrass tees, and Tifway 419 bermudagrass fairways and rough. The Club has retained golf course architect, Tyler Rae, to develop an enhancement plan for the course. This plan has been approved by the Board and will take place starting April 2026. The Club has also retained NMP Golf Construction to perform the work. The work will include the rebuilding of all 18 golf course greens, plus a practice putting green. Furthermore, bunkers will be relocated and reconstructed. Per Tyler’s Plan, golf holes will mainly stay the same, but many of the greens and bunkers will be reshaped/designed back to the original Seth Raynor design, backed by Tyler Rae’s vision. Vintage aerials have been acquired by Tyler and his team, and that plan is mostly based on those pictures.
