MCC is a Troon managed property which gives employees an opportunity to progress their careers through a worldwide network.  Currently the Agronomy team consists of 13 Full time employees with another 10-12 seasonal employees from April through November.  MCC has many large projects on the horizon including the installation of a new state of the art irrigation system. Framingham Country Club is an Orrin Smith/William Mitchell designed 18 hole private country club located outside of the metro Boston area. In April 2024, after a maintenance building fire in 2022, we completed a $1.5 million upgrade of our equipment fleet and a new $1.5 million maintenance compound including a 5,000 sq. foot storage building and dedicated chemical and fertilizer storage buildings.  The club is scheduled to host a 2026 Massachusetts Amateur Championship qualifier this June, the 2027 Massachusetts Four Ball Championship, and the 2030 Massachusetts Mid Amateur Championship.  The club is installing XGD internal drainage in 3 greens this October,  The club developed a Master Plan with Hepner Golf Design in 2010, completed a bunker renovation project in 2013, and is now planning an in-house renovation of bunker surrounds with the installation of new bunker sand over the next few years.  Starting the summer of 2027 the club will be installing a new $4.5 million dollar Toro irrigation system and a proposed $1 million dollar practice area renovation.  The club is continuing our aggressive tree pruning and removal program along with ongoing cart path renovations.  We are expecting to continue tee complex renovations over the next few seasons.  In the long term the club is beginning the process of engineering new pond spillways and the permitting process for pond dredging of our on-course and irrigation ponds. We have a lot going on at the club however this is not a seven day a week job.  We believe in a work environment that fosters a good work/life balance and are continuing to build our staff to make that happen.  The successful candidate will learn how to build a maintenance program, develop a budget and the budget approval process, how to successfully manage a small team, and any other tasks they request.  You will be trained to be an Assistant Superintendent because even though we believe in promoting from within we also recognize people sometimes leave for better opportunities.  For the right individual this could be a great opportunity for personal and professional growth.

The Country Club of Florida is a private 18 hole facility located in Boynton Beach, Florida. The club was originally founded in 1956 by Carlton Blunt and was originally designed by Robert Bruce Harris. In 1986 another major renovation was completed by Arthur Hills. Then in 2006, Lester George conducted our most recent renovation. In the summer of 2023, we just completed our most recent “restoration” where we completed the following: the resurfacing of all greens, fraze mowing all fairways, adding Better Billy Bunkers, updating the irrigation system with Toro Infinity Sprinklers, redesigning the clubhouse parking lot, and a complete renovation of the driving range and practice area. In 2012 a brand-new environmental building was installed which includes an above ground gas and diesel tank, Carbtrol Washdown System, chemical mixing and loading area, and equipment storage.  We are also currently in the process of building a brand-new, state of the art maintenance facility which a 3 phase project with phase 1 set to be completed in June. Position Overview The Assistant Superintendent will be involved in the day to day operation of the golf course and clubhouse landscaping. This includes managing and working alongside a staff of +/- 15 crew members, spraying chemicals/ fertilizer, spreading fertilizer, hand watering, irrigation repair and regular maintenance, diagnosing irrigation issues, operating mowers, tractors, and many other pieces of equipment. Also responsible for overseeing landscaping throughout the course, and clubhouse areas.  Candidates must be willing to work alongside the director of agronomy and golf course superintendent in coordinating day to day tasks and implement the agronomic program. Candidates must be detail oriented to continue to provide a high quality golf course for the membership. The candidate should be able to operate a digital workboard, run irrigation through the Toro Lynx irrigation program, use moisture management tools, gps technology, and the willingness and ability to learn new things. Proper record keeping of irrigation flow totals and chemical and fertilizer applications is a must as well.
